Question:
It is largely from the uber conservative dicks, who
do far worse in their private lives, yet for popularity sake preech a
standard of morality that only applies to everybody but them. A great
example is now dead senator strom thurman, who had a baby out of
wedlock.
I'm a liberal and I objected to JJ, after all i'm the one who has to
deal with my kids and the questions they have about what they
saw.
Oh for god's sake.
This has been blown out of proportion like nothing I've ever seen.
I didn't see the halftime show. And I didn't hear about this "event"
until reading about it here, on the website. So, it's possible that
I misunderstand what happened.
But, if what happened is that a partially obscured nipple became visible
for some very short period of time, then what in the hell is all the
screaming about?
If your children had "questions" about what they saw (which I find hard
to believe, given that they probably sucked on a nipple for some period
of time), then what questions did they have about all the ads for drugs
to help cure "erectile dysfunction"?
This seems like a very, very, VERY strange case of mass hysteria.
Answer:
What I wonder is, why was no one up in arms over those commercials? I
guess since it was just violence and not sex, it was ok, but parents
should have been much more upset about their children being unexpectedly
exposed to graphic violence than a nipple.
Or why parents aren't worried about letting their children watch a
Super Bowl halftime show with Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake
in the first place.
Forget the nipple, the thing was in bad taste before it started.
I think this and your erectile dysfunction
point are the best ones made on the issue.
Seriously. If your children would be
harmed by a nipple sighting, they had no
business being in the room with the act that
was going on up til that point either.
For an adult there is a line between the
bared breast and before it. But for children?
I don't think so.
